At Monday's transaction time, the 107 Bitcoin represented roughly $13.4 million in value, though Bitcoin changed hands around $76,000 on Tuesday—far below its October peak of $126,000 when the destroyed funds would have been worth approximately $13.4 million.
Because all transactions occurred at the same moment and originated from addresses created in the same year, onlookers speculated the activity was tied to a single individual or group.
